Why do we still treat the sea merely as a resource, a dumping ground, or a summer postcard?
On day one of the Design+Science 2026 summer school, we joined Dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj, Dr. Tinkara Tinta, and Dr. Oliver Vodeb to explore ways of designing radical intimacies in a world that is relentlessly rushing past planetary boundaries.
Due to high interest and numerous requests from applicants who are currently wrapping up their academic and project obligations, we are extending the application deadline for the Design+Science Summer School 2026 until Friday, June 5th, 2026.
PiNA, in collaboration with the University of Ljubljana, the University of Split, and FH Joanneum, announces the sixth edition of the international Design+Science Summer School. This year, the program heads to the coast, taking place from July 6th to 10th, 2026, in Piran and Portorož, Slovenia.
From 18th to 22nd of September 2025 in Nova Gorica, we will gather 21 participants from all over the world to explore the topic of Reclaiming hope. This year, the Summer School is starting with a symposium Reclaiming Hope on 18th and 19th, and continuos with the Design.science Summer school.
PiNA together with the University of Ljubljana, together, Faculty of Design Split and Institute Joanneum of the University of Applied Sciences Graz, is organizing a fourth edition of Design+Science Summer School. From 8th to 12th of July 2024 in Ljubljana, we will gather 21 participants from all over the world to explore the topic of Subversive realities.
