Extended application deadline for the Design+Science Summer School: WET DREAMS until June 5th!
Due to high interest and numerous requests from applicants who are currently wrapping up their academic and project obligations, we are extending the application deadline for the Design+Science Summer School 2026 until Friday, June 5th, 2026.
This year’s edition, titled WET DREAMS: Sea in Us, will take place between July 6th and 10th in Piran and Portorose. It will lead participants into an exploration of the complex, fluid, and sometimes uncomfortable connections between humanity and the marine world. Across four intensive modules (Invasion Below the Surface, Life in Warming Seas, Who Owns the Ocean?, and Paradise for Rent), we will intertwine science, design, and art with the guidance of international mentors.
Who can apply? The summer school is open to upper-year undergraduate students, postgraduate students, and young professionals from all fields—ranging from visual arts, architecture, and design, to biology, humanities, computer science, and environmental studies. Your primary background is not the deciding factor; what matters most is your readiness for teamwork, questioning existing models, and thinking outside your comfort zone.
How to apply? The application process remains unchanged. All information regarding the program, schedule, mentors, and past editions (where you can also download our latest 5-year celebration publication) can be found on our website.
