Description

Over a six-month period, Plate of Memories brings together a fisherman, scientists from the Piran Marine Biology Station, seniors, a chef and students in a collaborative project to promote overlooked Adriatic species and cut fishing discards. A fisherman conducts the catch, scientists and seniors jointly identify the species, seniors share their memories and stories, a chef and Izola Gastronomy School students turn the catch into a zero-waste menu, and biomaterial serving plates are created at HEKA Lab. Everything comes together at a public participatory dinner where guests sign the “Blue Promise” manifesto.
